More than 90,000 children with autism are on NHS waiting lists.
There’s no data for young people with ADHD, Tourette’s or FASD, but combined they could account for more than 10% of all children.
Initial waiting times for neurodiverse children in the UK are 4 times longer than NICE guidelines for mental health services, and 3 times longer than the average wait for CAMHS services (31/74 trusts).
1205 children have waited more than 9 weeks for a CAMHS assessment in Northern Ireland.
2251 children were waiting for assessment in June 2023. This number has been increasing since September 2020, from a low of 1107, to a peak of 2388 in March 2023.
The Northern HSC Trust had the highest waiting list (888), and the Western HSC Trust the least (333).
6 in 10 people would attend bystander to violence training if offered, found a survey of 1076 people.
37% of respondents in Wales reported witnessing some form of violence in the last 12 months.
Verbal aggression between children and young people was most common at 23%, then sexual harassment towards women and girls (12%), domestic abuse (9%), and physical violence between young people (9%).
