It’s now less than two weeks to the Unite-CPHVA Annual Professional Conference! Are you ready? To make sure you have everything prepared, have a look below at our conference checklist:
Do you know how to get there?
This year’s conference is taking place at The Birmingham Conferences and Events Centre (BCEC), Hill Street, Birmingham, B5 4EW.
Located in the heart of Birmingham’s city centre, the BCEC is just a short walk from Birmingham New Street station, around a 10-minute train journey to Birmingham International Airport, and is situated in the middle of Britain’s motorway network.
Have you booked your accommodation?
Still need somewhere to stay? The Holiday Inn, Birmingham City Centre, is adjacent to the BCEC, with a range of bedroom types for different budgets.
If you haven’t yet chosen your accommodation, make sure you book a room here.
Are you coming to the awards ceremony?
Don’t forget about the special Excellence Awards taking place on the first evening of the conference!
The awards are all about recognising outstanding work in health visiting, school nursing, community nursery nursing, and all community practice during the last 18 months. Winners (and runner ups) will receive their awards on the at a special ceremony, complete with dinner buffet. Be sure not to miss out on this fantastic opportunity!
Have you looked at the programme?

You can expect to see leading speakers, such as the UK CNOs, the NMC, innovative researchers and practitioners and Unite. Topics will include workforce issues and resolutions, innovation in practice, cost of living impact, safeguarding, social prescribing, the PNA role, and practitioner wellbeing.
