The MacQueen trust is looking for a new professional advisor. Here’s all you need to know about applying and what it involves.

The CPHVA Education and Development Trust was created to fulfil the wishes of Dr Ian MacQueen, who was a vice president and trustee of what was then the Health Visitors’ Association (HVA). Dr MacQueen believed passionately in the contribution that health visitors make to the health of a population, especially in public health, and he wished to support this work and also reward individual health visitors for work that demonstrated excellence. The trust does this through a regular cycle of bursaries for personal professional development and practice innovations.
The Education & Development Trust is recruiting 1 new volunteer professional advisor to help them review applications for their bursaries and keep the trustees in touch with current practice.

The Education & Development Trust would particularly like to welcome expressions of interest from previous award winners. Candidates should be:
- A member of the CPHVA
 - In practice or in education as a specialist public health nurse or community team member (e.g. nursery nurse, staff nurse)
 - Available to join trust meetings contributing to the direction of the trust and bursaries. These are normally four times a year and held via Teams
 - Able to read and review applications twice a year (spring and autumn) and feedback on their content
 - Able to be part of an online interviewing process for applicants
 - Impartial, fair and respect confidences.

You will be offered:
- Support when joining this new role
 - Opportunity to work nationally and hear about developments across the four UK nations
 - Expenses for travel, when applicable, at the trust agreed rates.
