What are the main findings?
- No vaccines met the 95% target set by WHO
- There was a decline in uptake in 13 out of 14 routine vaccination measures for children
- Regional uptake of routine vaccinations (MMR, polio) was at its lowest in London.
RCPCH immunisation expert Professor Helen Bedford said: ‘I am deeply concerned that not one vaccination target set by the WHO has been met in England this year… Now is the time for the UK Government to acknowledge these low uptake figures and focus its attention on ensuring equal access to vaccinations across all regions and socioeconomic groups.’
