This year, you can explore the Hybrid Unite-CPHVA Annual Professional Conference 2022 in the way that suits you best. Apply quickly to get early bird rates.*
In an ever-changing landscape, both the Unite-CPHVA annual general meeting (see overleaf) and the Annual Professional Conference will be hybrid events. So you will be able to attend in person (in Bristol, see below) or attend online via Zoom.
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Thriving through challenging times’ and will be held over two days: 27 October 2022 (full day) and 28 October (early afternoon finish). The CPHVA committee recognises that both practitioners and service users are being required to cope with more demanding issues professionally and personally. So the conference this year will confront some of these difficult issues. It will also look at solutions and ways to support families and colleagues.
As always, the conference programme will feature plenary and concurrent sessions. There will also be an opportunity to network with colleagues from around the countries and regions of the UK.
Get involved
Once again, you will also have the chance to showcase your professional practice, research or academic study. If you’d like your work to be considered, and for the chance to present it as part of the concurrent session programme, please complete the Call for papers by 19 September 2022. Papers can be presented as an interactive workshop prerecorded to include elements such as polls, or as a straightforward presentation. For all the information you need to submit a paper (be quick!), visit cphvaconference.org
Academic posters are also sought by the same date. These can be created as a 16:9 PowerPoint slide with optional audio companion, or a an A3 size poster if you are attending the conference in person.
There will also be a conference exhibition (in person, plus prerecorded contributions for streaming).
- For more information, visit the dedicated conference website where you can also book your place at the event cphvaconference.org
- The conference promises to be an exciting opportunity, whether you are planning to attend in person or attend the online. So book today! And if you do so *before 25 September you’ll qualify for early bird savings.
Help to shape the professional agenda
As always, this year’s Unite-CPHVA Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held a day before its Annual Professional Conference. The difference this year is that in addition to the virtual AGM (via Zoom), there will be an opportunity for you to attend in person, at the same Bristol location as the conference.
The AGM is an opportunity for members to influence the professional agenda of Unite-CPHVA. You can do this by submitting motions which will be debated at the AGM.
These motions can be submitted on behalf of any Unite-CPHVA branch or committee. You may need to consider discussing a possible motion with the chair of your branch and then sharing your proposal with other members to ensure support rather than discussing it in a branch meeting.
All members are entitled to be a delegate and participate in the debate by registering on Eventbrite: see opposite.
To attend virtually, a joining link will be sent to you before the event so please register at via Eventbrite with the email you will use to join on the day.
Members who attended the AGM last year will testify to the lively debate, and hopefully members will feel confident to put forward motions to ensure another productive event.
Look out for the AGM agenda which will be shared on social media.
This is an important meeting as it helps shape the work of Unite-CPHVA. The committee hope look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the AGM, whether virtually or in person.
