Public Health England (PHE) published new guidance at the end of November 2020 to support health and social care workers in delivering the Covid-19 vaccine.

The new Covid-19 chapter in Immunisation against infectious disease – also known as the Green Book – includes guidance on the storage, dosing and schedule of the vaccine and advice on vaccination of high-risk groups and potential adverse effects, with evidence suggesting these are mild and short-term.
The new training and information materials include e-learning modules, training recommendations and a competency assessment tool.
Dr Mary Ramsay at PHE said: ‘Health and social care workers […]will be at the forefront of this exciting next step to help tackle the pandemic – our new guidance will support them in delivering any approved Covid-19 vaccines safely and at pace.’
