Search for NMC Chair

The NMC are seeking a suitable independent Chair to oversee work on their post registration standards.


The NMC are now preparing to begin work on their post registration standards and are seeking expressions of interest to chair the overarching group that will be responsible for steering this work.

This will be a complex piece of work which requires someone who has worked at a national level, with knowledge of the professions and of services, has experience of dealing with complex projects, and of chairing meetings with diverse interest groups.

The Chair will also be needed to act as an ambassador for the work and take part engagement events.

The NMC team is based in London, but meetings and engagement events will be held across all four countries of the UK.

The overall time commitment and appropriate remuneration will be discussed with the successful candidate at a later stage.

The role is open to those with current registration or who retired from the register in the past two years.
