We are Sirona care & health, a Community Interest Company committed to providing local communities with a range of high quality specialist health and social care services across South Gloucestershire, parts of Bristol and Bath and North East Somerset. For us, it’s about the personal approach; we take pride in what we do and deliver the high standard of care that we’d expect for ourselves and our families.

In return we offer an excellent range of benefits including generous holiday entitlement, paid enhancements for bank holiday/night working (where applicable), a contributory pension scheme (including, for some roles, the NHS pension scheme), a planned induction program, extensive learning and development opportunities, health and wellbeing programmes, flexible working patterns, staff excellence awards, in-house physiotherapy support and more!

The Children’s Services business unit provide services to all children, young people and their families in North Somerset. Services include Health Visiting (0-5 years) and School Nursing (5-19+ years) with enhanced services for Looked After Children and Children’s Continence.

Through the delivery of the Department of Health's Healthy Child Programme, our Health Visitors provide a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) service beginning in pregnancy and continuing through early childhood.

We are seeking to recruit highly motivated and innovative experienced and newly qualified Health Visitors for the North Somerset area. We offer a comprehension preceptor programme for our newly qualified staff, as well as preceptors and mentors for new employees. We support and encourage all staff to become involved in service design and are committed to ensuring all have access to the training needed to fulfil their roles.

Alongside this we develop staff to provide mentorship and support to both pre and post registered students and staff in preceptorship. To support you in this and your clinical role, Sirona offers a wide range of training opportunities, and encourages all staff to be up to date with current practice and evidence based care,

As a HV you will work in a family focused way to improve outcomes for children by working closely with our Children’s Centres and wider partners, empowering families to achieve their health goals by helping them gain the knowledge, confidence and life skills they need to raise healthy happy children.

In North Somerset we are proud to be BFI Gold award holders.

Each team is made of Health Visitors and Community Nursery Nurses who work alongside every family to identify and address health needs. Universal services are delivered to all families at five age-defined contact points, and additional support is provided based on identified need. Health Visiting teams lead and deliver evidence based programmes of support that build and strengthen partnerships with clients and the local Early Years support network. They work in partnership families and other agencies to provide enhanced support and health interventions where required.

We have Full and Part Time (30hrs per week) roles available, based at Badger House in Weston-Super-Mare and St Barnabus Children's Centre in Portishead.
