Band 6 School Nurse Immunisation Team

An exciting opportunity has risen for highly motivated Band 6 School Nurse to join our friendly and dynamic School Health Service Team which is responsible for the delivery of immunisations to school aged children as part of the national vaccination programme.

The team is looking for enthusiastic and motivated nurse who is passionate about the delivery of the immunisation programme. the post holder will work very closely with the Team Manager in planning, organisation and implementation of school aged vaccinations. It is desirable that the candidates has experience in working with children in the community setting with good understanding of public health. The successful candidate will need to have the ability to work autonomously and as part of an integral skill-mix team. The busy team delivers vaccinations to designated cohorts of school age children in schools and other community settings throughout the academic calendar- vaccinations include Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), Diphtheria/Tetanus/Polio booster, Meningitis ACWY, MMR and Childhood Flu.
