School Nurse Assistant

We have a term-time only Band 3 School Nurse Assistant post based at Willesden Centre for Health and Care. Central London Community Healthcare is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and innovative practitioner to join the School Nursing Service in Brent.

The School Nursing service comprises of skill mix teams that are structured to deliver core and targeted health input through the Healthy Child Programme to all school aged children and their families, including health promotion, vision and hearing screening as well as the National Childhood Measurement programme.

Our skill mix teams include: School Nurses, School Staff Nurses, School Nurse Assistants, Health Visitors, Community Staff Nurses-Health Visiting as well as Community Nursery Nurses and Admin support. We also work closely with the Brent Weight Management Team and Safeguarding Advisors as well as our partners in education and children’s social care.

You will be:

  • An individual holding a higher professional diploma in health and wellbeing (NVQ/QCF – level 3) or equivalent
  • Willing to undertake further training
  • Experienced in working with children in a health, education or social care setting
  • Used to working collaboratively as part of a team
  • Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office and a variety of databases.
