About The Brent 0-19 Service

Children, young people and families are our focus and passion and we are seeking health visitors to join our dynamic diverse teams. We champion the role of community health professionals to make sure our families get the best care closer to home. The current climate means this is more important than ever; supporting families to keep them well, to provide care to keep them out of hospital or allowing them to return home from hospital at the earliest opportunity through support and care.

Brent is often referred to as the rising star of North West London, as the result of extensive investment across the borough to enhance its rich diversity and culture. Home to the national football stadium, the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir temple, the delightful Roundwood Park, and the Ace café, Brent is currently the London borough of Culture. It is because of the amazing culture people have come to live in Brent from around the world and across the UK creating arguably London’s most diverse communities only 20 minutes out of central London.

We have a range of part and full time Band 6 Health Visiting posts across Brent. You will be a either qualified or currently in training for your Specialist Community Public Health Nurse qualification with a passion for public health nursing seeking to find new ways of working with families. Our skill mix teams use frameworks such as MESCH to deliver our progressive service and continue to seek and develop innovative ways of working with Brent families to enable to children to have their best start in life. In return we offer preceptorship and supportive inductions, a team buddy, corporate membership of the iHV, excellent professional development opportunities. You will be joining friendly well established skill mixed teams who continually strive to work in partnership with families and early years and maternity services and other voluntary and statutory agencies to provide high quality care to achieve positive outcomes for families in Brent.

Working with staff CLCH NHS Trust is currently re-shaping the way Health Visitors work, and throughout the pandemic we have kept our health visitors working with Brent families with new and innovative practices to keep them safe whilst seeing families including agile working and provision of laptops and other technological solutions for all staff.
