Community Nursery Nurse

The Sutton Health Visiting Service is looking for someone who has appropriate qualifications with an NNEB or NVQ Level 3 in Child Care/CACHE or Level 4 Certificate in Early Years Practice (OU) or Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Early Years to join our team working with children under the age of 5 and their families.

Experience should also include working with children and families in a variety of settings and the candidate must have an excellent knowledge of child development and ideally have excellent computer skills.

The role will involves delivering key aspects of the Healthy Child Programme as part of the Health Visiting team. These aspects will include supporting families with infant feeding, child development and child health clinics both in group settings and on an individual basis. Computer skills are essential, as is a positive attitude to change.

You would be expected to have good communication skills, be a team player and be well organised in order to effectively work in partnership with the Early Years Childcare providers and Children's Centre’s in the area.

Successful applicants must be able to travel between clients’ homes and delivery sites in the Borough of Sutton. The Health Visiting Service is committed to developing and supporting members of the team and values the importance of skill mix. A comprehensive induction programme is provided at the commencement of employment and you will receive safeguarding supervision, clinical supervision and internal and external training opportunities in line with the requirements of the post.
